After the active portion of orthodontic treatment is complete, and the appliances have been removed you will be given retainers. Retainers are worn to ensure that your teeth do not shift from their new position. We will see you periodically for approximately 2 years to check and adjust your retainers and monitor the development of your wisdom teeth. After this time you will be dismissed. This means that we will stop scheduling regular appointments for you and ing that you will be on your own to contact us if any problems or concerns develop.
